Welcome to Boy Scouts of America Troop 76

Hammocks

Our scout troop meets on Tuesday nights from 7pm-8:30pm at the Pleasant View United Methodist Church pavilion.

  • Scouts should wear Class A uniform
  • Board of reviews will be conducted as necessary provided that we have enough committee members available

Troop 76 is made up up of a group of young men and dedicated leaders that love having fun and adventures in the great outdoors while living the principles of the Scout Oath and Law. Our goals are to develop leadership in our young men as well as serve our community by participating in local service projects.

The Troop follows the principles of a “boy-run troop” where Scouts, through their elected leadership, plan and execute the meetings, activities and outings. The adult leaders act as an ever present resource to help, advise and support them in achieving their goals, which they have indicated are:

  • Make sure that Scouts have fun and learn at the same time.
  • Keep scouts interested in advancement and stay involved in Scouting.
  • Guide boys in planning the troop program.
  • Provide leadership training and developmental opportunities for scouts.

Troop 76 uses Scoutbook to track advancements and many other aspects of the troop.
